Paying The Meter

Parking meters are located on most downtown streets and ten metered lots. Meters are $1.90/hour Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Meters are free on evenings, Sundays and all federal holidays observed by City employees.

Prepaid Epark cards can be purchased for the meter kiosks.

Parking time limits are posted on meters or shown on the screen at the epark kiosk. Legal parking durations vary from 30 minutes to 10 hours. Always check signs carefully before parking. Only park up to the maximum time that is posted for that meter.

These solar powered pay stations are designed to make parking at an on-street space easier, more convenient, and energy efficient. Epark meters have replaced traditional meters. Epark allows you to pay for your parking with the Ann Arbor ePark App for your smart phone. The app is free to download and saves you a trip to the pay station. You can also extend your parking sessions remotely and receive email receipts. The DDA is covering the cost of the convenience fee so the app is free for all users. To download the app and see the phone payment process go to For instructions on how to pay at an epark kiosk, click HERE!

Prepaid cards can be loaded in increments of $25 up to $100. Cards require a $10 deposit at time of purchase. No refunds will be issued for damaged, lost or stolen cards.
