FOURTH & WILLIAM PARKING STRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

 

WEEKLY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Week of 05/06/2015

 

PLEASE PARDON OUR DUST AND NOISE. WE’RE IN THE PROCESS OF A STAIR/ELEVATOR

MODERNIZATION/REPLACEMENT PROJECT. FASTER ELEVATORS FOR FASTER ACCESS TO THE DOWNTOWN!

 

SAFETY FIRST: Be sure to follow the pedestrian way-finding signage. Please slow down

while driving through the structure and be aware of your surroundings.

 

WEEKLY Construction is ongoing and a great amount of activity is occurring on site

PROGRESS: LOUD Demolition of brick/concrete with jackhammers and saws

Barricades are installed for demolition work

The new exit drive is open to pedestrians ONLY. Please follow alternate route

Sidewalk adjacent to parking structure/Palio lot is closed temporarily

Westbound, right lane on William St. is closed MONDAY 5/4 during construction

NEXT WEEK:

·         There will be LOUD jackhammers and equipment at the William garage & Palio Lot while the areas are being reconstructed for temporary pedestrian usage.

·         Pedestrian route and alley drive will be shifted. Barricading for demolition activities will be maintained.

LOUD demolition (Saws, jackhammers, large trucks) of the existing William St. Canopy, brick,

and concrete will occur behind fencing and barricades. Trucks will be hauling debris from the

site.

Overall Project Schedule Is Anticipated To Be….

Phase I: Construction of the new stair tower. April 2015 thru Sept 2015.

Phase 2: Demo of existing stair tower, construction of new high speed elevator. Sept 2015 thru March 2016.

Phase 3: Demo of existing elevator, installation of 2nd new high speed elevator. March 2016 thru Sept 2016.
